About East Van Music Lab

A unique, creative, personalized approach to music education

East Van Music Lab is a curated, boutique learning space offering music education, band programs, and professional studio experiences in East Vancouver and online. Founded by award-winning educator, producer and multi-instrumentalist Michael Simpsonelli (Simpsonelli Productions), EVML is built on connection, creativity, and community.

Michael brings over 25 years of experience teaching guitar, drums, bass, and ukulele to students of all levels. He provides a safe, supportive, and fun learning environment rooted in strong personal relationships and positive mentorship.

Sacha Levin lights up the room with her energetic teaching style and deep experience on djembe, congas, cajón, and other percussion. Her private and group classes bring rhythm to life for kids and adults alike, creating a fun, inspiring space where everyone feels the beat.
